- Qualified as an International Bobath Instructor in Melbourne, 2001, under Mary Lynch-Ellerington of UK
- Attended first Basic Bobath Course 1993, Adelaide
- Graduated from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences, Melbourne in 1984 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy
- Varied experience in Rural & Metropolitan settings
- Musculoskeletal, Stroke Unit, Acute Trauma, specialising in Neurological and General Rehabilitation
- Travelled widely in developing nations in Latin America, South-East Asia, the Middle East and Europe
- Volunteer work in Nicaragua
Current Employment
- Part time as Senior Clinical Physiotherapist in Rehabilitation at Goulburn Valley Health, Shepparton, Victoria
- Consultant Physiotherapist to Aged Care facility
- Some private practice
- Extensive teaching commitments throughout Australia; and some involvement in New Zealand and S-E Asia
Professional Aims
- Further develop skills as a Basic Course Instructor
- Promote the teaching of the Bobath Concept to develop the skills of therapists throughout the Oceania Region
- Promote research into the efficacy of the Bobath Concept for the treatment of persons with neurological lesions as well as “musculoskeletal” movement problems
