ABTA Launches new website!

Selection for the second Australian Tutor Training Group was completed in late 2007.
Congratulations to Aleka Freijah, Carolyn Luke, Ellen McDonald, Alena Scurrah and Jane Tillyard.
They are now a year into their training. You will see them assisting on courses over the next few years, please make them welcome.

New Bobath Publication
Bente Gjelsvik is the chairperson of IBITA and published a great book in 2008 - The Bobath Concept in Adult Neurology.  It reflects the current basis of the Bobath Concept and applies current neurophysiology regarding systems control to clinical practice.

First Australian Advanced Tutor
Kim Jennings has been accepted for training as an Advanced Bobath Tutor mentored by Mary Lynch-Ellerington an IBITA Senior Instructor. Once qualified Kim will be the first ever Australian Tutor qualified to teach advanced courses! This will pave the the way for more frequent Advanced courses in Australia - Currently these are only available every other year with international guest instructors.
